Crossing Things Off the Bucket List

On Saturday, I woke up incredibly early, said goodbye to my family in Rome, and flew to Paris!

I visited the Musee d'Orsay, which was absolutely incredible. I got to see so many famous paintings!

I then walked all around Paris - I saw Notre Dame, a lock bridge, Pont Alexandre, and the Eiffel Tower!

March 13

Rainy Day in Paris

On Sunday, the weather wasn't great, so we went to the Musee de l'Orangerie, which had more Monets! So cool!

The l'Orangerie also had Monet's famous Water Lillies, which was surreal to see in real life. There were two rooms which each had four rounded canvases, making up this masterpiece.

We then went to the Concergerie, which was a prison during the French Revolution. Marie Antoinette was actually imprisoned there.

After the Concergerie, on our way to Notre Dame, we walked through an adorable flower market!

March 11

Paris in a Day

On Monday, the weather in Paris was absolutely beautiful, so we devoted the day to seeing all the sights in Paris in one day!

We started off at the Sacre-Coeur Bascilica, which gave us an amazing view of Paris!

We then made our way to the Arc de Triomphe!

After the Arc, on our way to the Louvre, we visited the Église St-Eustache!

We then went to the Louvre and walked through it in about an hour and a half; we were practically sprinting through it, but we saw some beautiful French sculptures, Napolean Bonaparte's apartment, and, of course, the Mona Lisa!

After the Louvre, we went to see the Eiffel Tower!

After a very full day so far, we went back to the hostel to rest a bit. We then went back out for sunset at Montmarte (the green area in front of the Sacre-Coeur)! We did a nice little charcuterie snack with wine, cheese, and bread!

We then got dinner and went back to the Eiffel Tower to see it sparkle!

Paris was absolutely unreal and everything I ever wished for.
