Off to Rome!
On Tuesday, my family left Dublin and headed to Rome!
We saw soooo much that first day: the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore, the Italian White House, Trevi Fountain, Palazza Venezia, and the Roman Forum.

More Walking!
After walking 10 miles the day prior, we were up early again to see more of Rome!
On Wednesday, we saw the Spanish Steps, the Basilica dei Santi Ambrogio e Carlo al Corso, and the Pantheon!
Wednesday night, we went to Castel Gandolfo, the mountain village where the Pope spends his summers!

The Big Sights!
On Thursday, we went back to the Trevi Fountain then went to the Colosseum! We also went back to see the Roman Forum.
Thursday afternoon, we went to Vatican City to see St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums!
I couldn't take any pictures of the Sistine Chapel, but it was so amazing to see it in real life. A moment I'll never forget.

Amalfi Coast
Friday was our last day in Italy. We drove through the mountains to the coast!
Our first stop was the town of Amalfi! The water was sooooo clear.
On our way to our second stop, we drove along the coast and saw more amazing views!
Our second stop was Positano! Another incredibly beautiful town along the coast.
We then drove to our final destination and were again awed by the landscape around us.
Our third and final stop of the day was Sorrento where we watched the sunset and could see Mt. Vesuvius!
Rome and the Amalfi Coast were absolutely amazing. Every city I've visited in Italy has just been incredible, and these two were no exception. It was also so special to experience these moments with my family.
